A nice tail photo of this humpback whale on our 3rd day of whale watching for the 2006 season. This whale has been seen daily as we leave Provincetown harbor and follow the shoreline of Cape Cod. The whales have been feeding just off the shoreline of Provincetown.

Re:One of the first humpbacks of the 2006 season
I find this combination (wales feeding on plankton and small fish) the most odd in the whole nature due to it's huge difference in sizes. When I first found this out I just couldn't believe it. It's almost not normal. Yet it is. Big animals feeding non-stop (almost) with tiny creatures. I would love to attend this educational program because I never saugh how plankton looks like.
